There are more tops to be made. I’m going to make a few more Laundry Day Tees and I want to try the new Rhapsody pattern.
I cannot tell you how nice it has been this week when I needed to run to the grocery store, or go to the chiropractor or Vince wanted to go out to eat, and I was able to go to the closet and grab a top that I knew would fit nicely. These Laundry Day Tees are so perfect for me . . they fit nicely, they’re comfortable and they need no ironing. I wash them, take them out of the washer, hang them to dry and they’re ready. Some of the knit is warmer than other pieces and I need to remember which ones are HOT but even the ones that are warmer are great in a chilly restaurant.
This arrived Thursday morning and I haven’t even opened the box yet. I was so excited for it to get here. It was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, the 10th, and got moved back to Friday and then got moved back to Thursday. Yay UPS! But I’ve been busy with canning and trying to finish the Reciprocate Shawl.
Priorities . . canning can’t wait and the knitting project needs to be finished but I hope I can find the time to at least get the serger set up and sew something.

I’m so interested in seeing the post about the serger and why you picked this one. =) I know there is lots of information coming on that, right? Or did I miss a post while you were shopping? =) I hope you find some sewing time!

I’ve resurrected my decades old Bernina serger for the latest knit tops I’ve made (in between client stuff). Everytime I go to hem the sleeves/bottom edge I think of you and that cover stitch machine. I’m still ‘on the fence’ as to whether I would use it that much…..garment sewing hasn’t been a priority but all of a sudden the 2 great grands think summer dresses would be ok!!! LOL!!! I’m with ya on knowing that there’s something nice– and comfortable– in the closet to wear and look good when you need it

I’ve had that very same experience recently while packing for the beach. I love all of my double brushed poly for the 60is degree beach days and everything fits so perfectly! Have fun with your new serger if you ever find time to play/work with it. My next project is yoga pants/leggings…..wish me luck.
