This Reciprocate shawl is one of those projects I cannot put down, but yet don’t seem to have much time to sit and knit. I get up in the morning and I think . . as soon as Vince leaves for work, I’m going to start knitting, and then I’m busy til time for lunch and then I say . . as soon as Vince leaves to go back to work, I’m going to start knitting .. and then I get busy with something else.
It’s taking about 35 – 40 minutes to do each row and I’ve promised myself I’m going to get at least two rows done each day so about midnight, struggling to keep my eyes open, I’m finishing up the second row.
I’m going to love this when it’s done!
Remember that I had issues with running out of yarn and not being able to get more of some of it? All the yarn is Miss Babs’ Hot Shot. The light aqua (Deer Moss) . . I needed more and was able to get more so that color is good. The teal (Preoccupations). . I needed more and was not able to get any more so I went with just a bit darker teal (Topaz) for the outer band of dark. The gold/mustard is Squash Blossom and I thought I wasn’t going to be able to get more of that but Miss Babs dyed some more and I was able to snag another skein.
If I could up my knitting time and get four rows done per day, I could have this thing finished by this time next week. Rainy days are about the only thing that will help me get more knitting time and there’s not much rain in our forecast for the next few days.
