Every day I go sit in the sewing room and knit for an hour or so. I’ll play with Boots but after a while, he wants to sit beside me and snooze while I knit. He knows the routine and I think he likes it.
I’m not sure he likes it when I go in the sewing room and sew. I guess we don’t have that routine established. At first, he’s playful . . just like when I go to knit. He wants to be right in the middle of whatever I’m doing.
After a few hours, he’s had enough of me and when he gets ready for me to leave him alone, he’s a mean kitty.
I think he’s acting like humans . . when you’ve had company for too long and you start yawning, hoping they’ll get the message that it’s time to leave. He stretched out on the floor like he was exhausted and kept looking at me like he wanted to be sure I got the message.
I was trying to get to a stopping spot and I wasn’t getting there quickly enough for him so he began biting. I think he’s serious . . he wants to hurt and I don’t like that. Usually if I spray him a bit with a water bottle, he’ll stop biting and leave me alone. I was trying to hold him to keep him from biting me while I finished what I was doing. When his pupils get big and black, I know I’m in trouble.
He’s such a sweet kitty . . til he isn’t!

That’s a cat for you!!! Maggie usually starts thumping her tail! That’s the sign that she’s done with me!!! She does not bite hard, just a soft bite but I know to leave her alone when she starts the tail thump!!!

Sounds exactly like Fang (he’s named that for a reason). There’ve been times when I was on the computer and he was up on the desk and out of the blue, his ears would go back and he’d get this look and I’d know I was in trouble. Had to quickly be sure I had a ‘weapon’ to fend him off (like a book or something I could put between him & me). I got some nasty bites

Boots and those eyes!!! So darn cute but so telling huh! Amazing how he communicates that it’s time for you to leave your or his room! Haha! And Maggie with her ears! Haha! Oh my!! I am laughing about Fang! I know I shouldn’t! But his name what a cute name! My cat RIP was also scary at times… we love them still huh! Now I have two more adopted this past month!

What? Is this the same cat who was being playful, then cuddly a few posts ago? Just like a cat…wants company on HIS terms.

And he looks so soft….hadn’t noticed the difference in the pupils til you mentioned it. So a Cat’s eyes can be really interesting indicators of their emotions?!

Sounds like my Max, but he warns me with the tail thumping, IF I stay I can expect to get bitten.
