A couple of days ago, a friend on Facebook shared a link to a recipe for Lemon Brownies. I’m such a sucker for sweet stuff. I could tell from looking at the photos that they were probably something we would love. I like “packy” cakes and cupcakes . . more so than the fluffy kind like cake mix cakes, but I do love Angel Food cakes and they’re fluffy. I also love that the recipe makes an 8″ x 8″ pan and not a 9″ x 13″ pan. We don’t need the smaller pan but we surely don’t need the larger pan.
I was chatting with another friend on Facebook when the recipe showed up in my feed and I told my friend “I’m going to make these brownies . . NOW!” and I did.

This comment could have come from me! LOL My mother and I loved to eat lemons when I was a child; yes, biting into a slice, rind along with the pulp. Yes, I now have super-sensitive teeth and had to give up that habit years ago. But still paying the price for it.

My mother loved everything lemon! She would have loved these. I get in lemon moods, so these do look really good! I’m like you I like the “heavier” baked things. My favorite type of cake is pound cake, and in general I prefer brownies over cake given the choice. Yum!
