Busy Monday

Most every weekday morning, after breakfast is done, I sit in my chair and knit so I’m out of Vince’s way til he leaves for work. No matter where I seem to go in this little house, in the morning . . I’m in his way. But, when I sit down in my chair and start knitting, Vince leaves and I keep thinking I have to get up and get busy but I just keep knitting.

Carrots

This morning I had carrots to can. I had dug them up on Saturday, cut the tops off and rinsed them, then stuck them in the fridge because the weekend was too busy to get any canning done. That was my priority this morning, but I also had beans to snap that I had picked yesterday. It wasn’t a lot of beans but I wanted to cook them for lunch.

About 10:00, I still had my pajamas on and had just put the carrots in the canner and Vince called . . Longhorn Solar is going to be there in about an hour. Great . . pajamas have to go! I had wanted to get the beans snapped before I took a shower. I do the snapping/shelling on the front porch and it was already hot but I had to get dressed before Longhorn Solar got here.

Made it! I was dressed and presentable by the time they got here. 

Carrots were canned, beans were snapped, lunch was ready right on time.

If I had not sat and knitted for an hour after Vince left to go to work, I wouldn’t have been in that mad rush but . . I also wouldn’t have another repeat done of Chart B.  Priorities!

Ahhh . . do you see the rain drops falling? We’re getting some much needed and much appreciated rain. Not much but at least I won’t have to water the garden today.
