This morning when I woke up, I was so sure it was Saturday. I thought back to Tuesday, our knitting group day, which is the only day I usually go anywhere. Then I knew we had Wednesday and Thursday but .. did we have Friday? We went to town yesterday afternoon and we usually only go to town on Friday so . . today HAD to be Saturday. I went back to sleep because who needs to be up before daylight on Saturday. Next thing I knew Vince was in the shower. When he got out, I was still half asleep, not wanting to get out of bed and I said “Today isn’t Saturday, is it?” and he confirmed the sad news! 🙂
So, now .. the work week is officially over and Vince has a three day weekend. Three days of late breakfasts, three days with no going to work for Vince, no schedule. I love it.
Hope you all have a great and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

I did the same thing this morning! It’s felt like Saturday all day… I’m sort of retired, but will still be playing the organ at church Sunday, and Monday I get to ride in a convertible in the local Memorial day parade, and lay a wreath at the veteran’s monument with another female veteran. Guess I don’t really have a three-day weekend…. but still enjoying myself! 🙂

I am retired and never know what day it is! In fact we recently got long term disability insurance and had to do a “mental check” interview. Luckily my husband warned me they would ask the day, date and year so I could be prepared. It’s so much to keep track of!

I hardly ever know what day or date it is when at the dr’s and they always ask. My response is always “I’m retired, I have no idea. I know it’s not Sat or Sun”.

It must be in the water, I did the same thing on Wednesday, thinking it was Tuesday.

LOL – I can really relate to your post, Judy. Happens a lot around here and I’ve been retired 10 years.
Enjoy your weekend.
