Many of you have asked me “isn’t Vince a woodturner?” He is and he does excellent work but . . it’s kinda like having lots of fabric, sewing machines and a longarm machine and not producing quilts. Need I say more.
He made a couple of these wooden hats when we lived in Kentucky and he did more turning.
I have a purple heart bowl that Vince made me before we got married. That was back when I was sure that some day I’d have a kitchen with cabinets made of purple heart! Anyone who deals with wood knows that would be an outrageously expensive kitchen but hey .. we were dating and I thought he would do that for me . . before I knew that if he had his way, we’d have plywood cabinets or whatever costs the least.
Even Chad got interested in woodturning. Vince let him play around on a small lathe and now I think Chad has two lathes. Nicole’s grandpa had a very old lathe and he gave that to Chad and then Chad added a new one.
Maybe some day, when Vince retires, he’ll start turning again. I can dream so just go along with me, ok? Maybe when we move back to MO, Chad and Vince can turn together in Vince’s shop! 🙂
Seriously, I found a house in Neosho, MO that I love. I sent the link to Vince and I said “It’s ‘pending’ but in my opinion, this is the perfect house for us!” He said “Call the realtor and ask her to let us know if the deal doesn’t go through and if it does, maybe the builder is still building houses and (the house is 10 years old) and if he is, we can talk to him about building something similar.” I tried to control my excitement for fear he would come to his senses and realize he was talking about possibly moving to MO but that’s about the most positive thing I’ve heard him say about us going back. So now I’m thinking . . all I have to do is find the perfect house. I fully know that there is no PERFECT house but all it has to be is perfect enough to make Vince want to live there!

WOW!! Sounds like progress to me! Or is it more like a breaking down of sorts? I won’t tell him he’s succumbing to your wiles!

If you moved to Missouri, could you figure out a way to take Cat with you?
Dar says
Yes! Cat must go too! And the chickens! Preferably not in jars. ???
