As far as fabric, I used 2 yards which I cut into strips to tie up tomatoes. It has to say something for my stash when I have a hard time deciding what fabric I don’t mind “wasting” for tomato ties but I guess it would say something for me if I would get in there and start sewing again!
Fabric Used this Week: 2 yards
Fabric Used year to Date: 36.5 yards
Fabric Added this Week: 0 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date: 2 yards
Net Fabric for 2017: 34.5 yards used
I thought I would get a pair of socks finished last night but . . nothing added and nothing used in the yarn department. Maybe I should start counting how many pounds of weeds I hoed or something like that! 🙂
Yarn Used (or removed) this Week: 0 yards
Yarn Used year to Date: 4,660 yards
Yarn Added this Week: 0 yards
Yarn Added Year to Date: 4,050 yards
Net Yarn for 2017: 610 yards

If you don’t have ugly fabric you don’t mind using to tie up the tomatoes, maybe you should buy some cheap muslin for tomato ties. Or do more sewing and use the selvages to tie the tomatoes. Or scraps from the clothing fabrics.
It’s good to have a stash you love, even if you aren’t using it right now.
