It’s rare for Vince not to be home for lunch but today he won’t be home for lunch or dinner. I had a hair cut this morning and then several stops to make in town and was looking forward to eating lunch out at some place Vince doesn’t like to go. My first choice was Jolene’s Thai restaurant. I love that place. Vince likes it ok but I seriously think I could eat there every day. For a couple of weeks, since I’ve known he wouldn’t be home for lunch today, I’ve been planning to go stop by Jolene’s and pick up lunch and bring it home. You can only get food to go there but they’re looking for a place where they can have a dine in restaurant.
Yesterday when Vince got home from work, he said “Do you want Jolene’s for dinner?” You never have to ask me twice if I want food from there! One dish is enough for 2 or 3 meals for me so after eating last night, I still have enough for dinner tonight and probably another meal so I was thinking . . should I get something different from Jolene’s or go somewhere else? Tough decision since I don’t eat out much.
Burger & Fries
I love Heff’s Burgers too and Vince isn’t a big fan so I ran by there, got a burger, sat in the corner and read my Kindle (on my phone) while eating. Heff’s burgers aren’t something I would eat every day (Jolene’s food I could eat every day!) but the burgers are great every now and then.
Now I need a nap but I’ll head out to the garden and work til I’m tired, then I might can justify a nap.

I love how you embrace your time 🙂 I know lots of people who won’t do anything when their spouse is away, but I’m like you and think of all the places to go that he doesn’t enjoy, and all the foods that aren’t his favorites to eat. Sounds like you had a perfect YOU day!
