Usually, I start the second sock as soon as I finish the first one but recently, I seem to be suffering from Second Sock Syndrome.
I have the second sock started on all these socks but am doing a terrible job of finishing a pair before starting another pair.
This is not going to become a habit. I will finish all three second socks before starting another pair of socks! (But if I don’t, I’m not admitting to it!)

Leave it open that you can start a new pair each time you finish one of the second socks!

Well, who said socks have to match? Start a new trend with the individual socks, you could start a new fashion trend! I love the pink one.

You’ve just reminded me if the one thing I don’t like about making socks. I’m not too good at doing the same thing twice. Recently I was asked to make two duvet covers into quilts. Sigh. Not a favourite thing to do but I got there. My customer was thrilled and promptly stated she would be bringing me more work. Fingers crossed not another pair.

This may be a duplicate. I can identify with not wanting to make a second sock as it’s much more fun to start with a new color, new yarn etc. Will you share the name of the sock pattern which is on the right, perhaps one which used to be called sneaker socks? Thanks.

If you ever decide that you don’t want to make a second sock you can always send the single one to me as I only have my left leg and don’t use both socks at the same time. A pair last me twice as long as anyone else but it also get boring. Wish I knew how to knit as they look so soft and comfy but the best I can do is crochet and that just doesn’t work for socks. Rina

I do my socks toe up two at a time on one long circular needle. Otherwise I know I would never have pairs made.

I’ve done two at a time but didn’t enjoy that method. I need to try it again. That would sure solve the second sock syndrome.

Love the striped one; finish it first! I once heard that some people knit both at a time and just did that recently on a KAL and actually finished on time. I used dpns and since it was a mystery sock did each clue on the pair. I have tried 2 pair on cables but only succeeded in confusing myself. And don’t ask me how many socks still need a mate! ; >)
