Because you asked . . I am not going to do stash reports for knit fabric. I am not going to build a stash for knit fabric because I don’t see a need to do it. I’d like to keep a couple of pieces of several weights of knit around but I can mail order knit and get it here in less than a week.
For quilting fabric and yarn, it is important for me to have a stash because trying to mix and match fabrics for quilting, as well as having choices when knitting, it’s so much easier to go dig in the closet and find what I need. If I’m making a knit shirt for myself or leggings for Addie, I can get online, find one piece of fabric I want and order it.
At any given time, I don’t see having more than 5 or 6 pieces of knit fabric here. So, I’m not going to do a stash report for knit fabric.
At this point in my life, not knowing if we’re going to stay here or move once Vince retires, I don’t want a huge stash of anything. It has felt good working from the yarn stash and I’d like to make more progress with the fabric stash but having both of those and seeing how slowly they’re being used is a great motivation NOT to obsessively add more of anything!

It’s my hope that you and Vince decide to stay here in Texas with me and your other Texans friends. You have a wonderful spread where your at and you seem to enjoy your homestead immensely. I love reading your blog each and every time you post, I admit that I live vicariously through you and Vince. Please keep the humorous blog and postings coming as often as you possibly can. And again please don’t leave me….I mean don’t leave US all alone with just the comfort of knowing that you are here with us in mind and in spirit, but knowing that you have become a genuine Texan too. I grew up in Iowa…I wasn’t born in Texas but got here as soon as I could.
