At 9 a.m., I said I was going to sew and I never made it. Here it is 4:30 p.m. and I’m really going to the sewing room as soon as the bread comes out of the oven.
I got sidetracked with lunch this morning. Instead of making plain boiled noodles, I ended up getting a little creative with them but they were delicious. Vince likes that dried spaetzle from Aldi but I’m not real fond of it. I decided to boil it tender, then sizzle it in some . . ughhh . . bacon grease. I fried up some jalapeno bacon, cooked the spaetzle in that, then added the crispy bacon, some chives and parsley and right before serving, added just a little cream.
Lunch was delicious. Beef Stroganoff in the pressure cooker, fresh asparagus and cole slaw. By the time lunch was done and Vince went back to work, I felt a nap coming on so . . I took a very long nap.
The bread is done. The kitchen is picked up. I’m fully rested . . now I’m ready to start sewing.
