No, not at my house . . still at the store.
We had to run to town and found ourselves at the feed store. Of course, I had to run over and look at the baby chicks.
They’re so blasted cute and I love to watch them. They’re kinda like puppies – I love to pick them up and sniff their little fluffy heads.
I didn’t say “Can we get some?” Vince didn’t say “Do you want any?” I snapped a few pictures and calmly walked away. The whole truth is that I had no desire to buy any. It’s nice not having babies to deal with and if our hens hatch a few babies, that will be find . . the moms will have the responsibility of keeping them safe and warm.
I guess it’s a whole lot like having your own babies or having grandbabies . . or . . maybe not! 🙂
Anyway, I believe this will be our second year of not getting new chickens or . . did we get those Buckeyes last year? Well, heck . . not doing as great as I thought we were. According to this post, looks like we did get babies last year. Darned blog. Everything we do is recorded and I can’t even forget if I try.
Yes, I remember . . they stayed in the house way too long before we moved them to the coop. Oh, now I’m really happy we didn’t get any babies this year.

I think it’s time for you to get some little ducklings. The land kind that lay big beautiful eggs.
