I wonder how many cats are going to show up here and eat, drink and party with Cat.
I haven’t seen the big gray tabby much but yesterday afternoon, I walked out and there was another black cat in the driveway.
From what we could see, he’s longer and skinnier than Cat and he’s long legged for a cat. At first I thought it was a dog but it’s a cat.
I think they’ve all figured out that there’s food and water here and they wish there were no humans. He was very wary of me being out there but he stood still for a minute or so and watched me before heading back into the woods.
When Cat first showed up here, it was months before I was even sure I’d seen a cat. She was so skittish and I could never really get a good look at her . . all I saw was something black darting into the woods when I’d go out.
Sometimes in the evenings when Cat’s food bowl is empty, she keeps meowing like she wants more food. If I give her a little, she leaves it and I wonder if she isn’t begging for food for all her friends.
I keep telling her she’s lucky we kept her around . . no more cats! I guess it’s kinda like Vince telling me . . no more yarn! 🙂

We run the neighborhood buffet! Cats of all colors and sizes, along with the occasional opossum and raccoon. 🙂

Uh-huh, we seem to be feeding at least one neighborhood cat plus a couple guests at times, as well as the occasional possum.

You might be on your way to crazy car lady here! We have 4 inside cats and an ever-changing number of “barn” cats outside that I feed daily. Also the neighbor’s dog, possums, raccoons and we’ve even seen fox. I figure as long as they play nice together, they have to eat. (All except the dog…he’s dumb as a post and clearly has his own humans.) Being the crazy cat lady isn’t all bad, though. ?

I toss my scraps out. Nothing goes to waste! If it’s not eaten by the crows and mockingbirds, then the skunks, possums, or coyotes finish it off!
