A perfect dress for spring. At least you are sewing something. Better than not at all.

Why don’t you have Nicole send you Addie’s measurements then you could be sure it fits? I sew for my 5-year-old granddaughter all the time and I have her mom take her measurements every couple of months so I can make sure it’s going to fit right, since I can’t always have her come over and try things on. She’s very tall for her age and very thin, like her mom, so most patterns have to be adjusted because she’s so slim.
First, they just moved last week and I doubt a tape measure is anywhere to be found right now. Second, Nicole just went back to work last week for the first time since Addie was born and I know she’s a bit frazzled with trying to keep up and get unpacked and get the household running again. Nicole does not sew, has never been around anyone who sews so when I’m there next, I’ll take Addie’s measurements and show Nicole how to do it to get accurate measurements and then she can continue to update those measurements for me as Addie grows
What a wonderful fabric! It will be beautiful on Addie. I too am a bit nostalgic. The granddaughter I could sew for is 23; now it’s alter or repair. She thinks I can work miracles with textiles! The almost 10 year old’s mother has never thought much of home/hand made. So you know the rest of that story. You and that machine are having fun and making memories. And, what a quilt you will make from the scraps/leftovers!
