Last night while going through Pinterest, which seems to have taken the place of Ravelry for my “wasting time on the computer” favorite pastime, I came across this dress and loved it. The pattern is another Children’s Corner pattern – Virginia, and of course, I have it in sizes 3-4 and 5-6. Children’s Corner does their pattern size packages differently now but I have the ones I need. The new one says “Revised” and I have no idea what that means but I’m making a dress by the pattern I have.
Most of my fabric stash isn’t suitable for pretty children’s clothing but there are a few things that will work.
This is what I’m going to use, with a white collar and cuffs for the sleeves and pockets. I’m making View D.
I think I have enough white fabric for the collar and cuffs. Why did I buy a 50 yard bolt of Southern Belle? I have no idea! It’s been here a while but it’s perfect because it’s so tightly woven. It will be great for trim.
I believe that for the amount I’ll be using . . it’s going to last quite a while! 🙂

Oh how I wish I had a little girl to sew for. I sewed for my daughters but no granddaughters yet. My first grandchild is due in May, a boy. I’ve already sewn bibs, blankets, and 2 quilts. But when he gets older, there’s not little boy stuff like little girl stuff. Maybe baby #2 will be a girl?
