This was another test knit for Laura Aylor. It’s made with chunky yarn – Miss Babs’ K2. The pattern is named Copper Cove and I’ll post here when it’s released.
As with all of Laura’s patterns, it’s written perfectly and is easy to follow.
I almost always need to go down a needle size but this was the first time I’ve used K2 and didn’t want the fabric to be so tight that it wasn’t snuggly. It’s pretty snuggly and if I were knitting it again, I would go down a needle size. I’m really a loose knitter and when knitting quickly, I seem to knit even looser.
I love that it’s big enough to just drape over my shoulders. I love that it’s big enough to spread over my lap if we’re in a restaurant and I’m cold. I really like this big, oversized, chunky weight shawl!

That is lovely! I’ve been wanting a pattern for a large, thick shawl. This will be it when it comes out!
