My Quiltathon was a miserable failure. There’s always March and the dates are March 24 – 27.
This morning we had to make a trip to town to the vet and made a couple of quick stops on the way home. Then we both went out – I planted a few cabbage plants, cleaned more of the asparagus beds, planted more asparagus, planted a few onions and then came in and took a nap! It was very near 90° . . maybe over 90° . . and it was HOT and yes, it’s February!
So . . that’s the extent of my accomplishments today.

Mine was a bust too. Today we ended up.going to Wildseed Farm near Fredericksburg. Lunch outside among the plants listening to the music. Not a bad way to spend a February saturday.

well, I ended up deciding that the project I had planned to work on was a bust and I am going to package up the pieces and put them in a bag for donation. It should have been an easy project but, between not feeling well and not reading the directions well, it became confusing and I have too many other issues right now to deal with it. it is composed of mostly older pieces of fabric that are more than likely poly cotton and thin and just not want what I want to invest time in. I did manage to get five hot pads made for the grand girls to give their teachers for valentines day. I also spent time with my son, daughter in law, and grand girls visiting and watching a movie. I have been sick most of the time since christmas as well as keeping sick grand girls and just haven’t had the energy to do much. The doctor increased my anti depressant which will hopefully result in more energy and I need to make arrangements for blood work before seeing my primary care doctor week after next. I am counting the ufo as dealt with since it will be leaving the house. just not interested in putting in the effort for this particular project. since I did make some progress on January’s project and made a decision on this months, I am counting that as progress.

Sure hope you get to feeling better!

Most of you did more than me. I went to Walmart and Kroger’s, then sat on the front porch (not so windy there) and did nothing until time to cook dinner. Then proceeded to over cook the kebabs. Eeh!

I think I am going to try the March dates. My big work project will be done and I have a week off then. I don’t have a website or blog – hope that doesn’t matter. I enjoy reading your life your blog.

Well, we appreciate you hosting the QAT Judy! I only wish I could be planting now. With our recent snow, spring seems a long way away. I guess that means I should get cracking and start some seeds on the window sill.

Reading your comments, it looks like I wasn’t the only one who missed Quiltathon due to illness. So bummed. My husband went to California for work and all he brought me back was a miserable virus! Here’s hoping next month sees me healthy and quilting…
