You’re not going to believe what I did today . . I bought fabric! It’s been several years since I bought fabric.
My friend had bought all the fabric for the skirts but this morning, before we started sewing, we decided to run to town. My mind was made up that I needed heart buttons for the skirt. We didn’t think Walmart carried buttons but we ran there first and that’s where we bought the T-shirts for the granddaughters. Walmart didn’t have buttons so we went to the local sewing center, where we found heart buttons but they were too red for the skirt, which is kinda burgundy red. I ended up finding buttons in my stash that worked.
But . . I saw this fabric at the sewing center.
I don’t even know for sure how much I bought. There wasn’t much left on the bolt — 2 yards and 5 inches I think it was. I’m going to make a couple of pillowcases with it.

It is part of the “Thimble Pleasures” collection put out by Quilted Treasures. It also comes with a cream coloured background.

Fabric like that also makes a great replacement ironing board cover, especially with the dark background color. (ask me how I know!).
