We have a little Thai restaurant here that I think is very good. It’s a husband/wife team that run the place. There’s no place to eat there .. it’s all to go. As with so many things around here, I love it and Vince does not.
Yesterday Vince had plans for lunch so he wasn’t coming home, my dentist appointment was at 1:00 so after the dentist, I went by Jolene’s to get Thai for lunch. She had just gotten a large call in order before I arrived so I placed my order and left to go get a prescription filled. That’s another thing where Vince and I differ. He goes to the chain store pharmacy because he thinks it costs less. I do not go there because I’m willing to pay a little more for better customer service and a pharmacist who’s happy to talk to me and usually no wait. Yesterday, I decided since I was closer to the chain store pharmacy, I would go there. I walked in and there wasn’t a crowd of people waiting so I thought . . great . . this may work but then the assistant told me it would be a 45 minute wait. No, thanks! Took the Rx and went to my usual mom and pop pharmacy and it was a 5 minute wait. Got it and was back at the Thai place before she was done fixing my food. By the way, my copay was $2.35 so how much would I have saved at the chain store pharmacy? Not enough to make it worth waiting 45 minutes . . in my opinion but Vince probably wouldn’t agree. 🙂
I ate a small portion of it. It was good and I’m happy we have Jolene’s here in our little town.

Same here, I love Thai, Indian, and South East Asia and my husband doesn’t. When I go out with friends guess where we go?

I am right there with you on the difference in pharmacy and the waiting time. Not worth 45 mins. to maybe save fifty cents to a dollar. Your pad thai looks yummy. My DH does not like any Thai or Indian food, so I eat it whenever I’m by myself for lunch or with the girls. Love Japanese foods too.
