Last night Vince was watching a Mardi Gras show and they were drinking Bayou Satsuma rum.
Vince: Oh, that looks good.
Me: Vince! We have some of that.
Vince: No! Where did we get it?
Me: I brought it back from Louisiana.
It was after 9 p.m. but I got it out and we each had a little. Don’t worry . . that’s the picture of the bottle before we drank our little glass. Don’t think the bottle was full and we drank all that.
We never drink. I told Vince . . we should have a little glass every night and it would probably help us sleep better. He said “And a little in the morning and a little at lunch, and a little when I get home from work!” No . . not a good idea. We’ll put the satsuma rum away and get it out again in 6 or 8 months. 🙂

LOL. Like Frank’s mother. She swore she never drank, but when we packed up her house of 35 years there were 14 complete sets of wine glasses and decanters……just sayin’. Baptist isn’t always the same everywhere!

Funny. I remember when you made cranberry liqueur and had a little glass a night. Guess not this.
In the summer, you could store it in the freezer for a very refreshing drink. Let’s see, 6 or 8 months would be summertime!

Is it orange flavor? Satsuma..that’s an orange, right? Just curious. I have a small bottle of vanilla rum I bought in Jamaica (? I think, we were on a cruise) and I’ve never opened it. It kinda sounded good but I really don’t like the taste of any kind of alcohol so not sure why I bought it! DUH
