This project, Find Your Fade, is eating my lunch! This should not be taking so much of my time.
Remember last week, I had absolutely, positively, no turning back decided on this combination. I was so sure that I wound all the yarn so I could get started.
I couldn’t stop thinking about the yarn so yesterday I got it all out and played with it again and came up with this possibility.
That left side was still bothering me so I kept digging and came up with this possibility.
I’m still not sure it’s right but this is the closest I’ve come to loving it. I have one more yarn according to my spreadsheet, that might work in place of the third from the right yarn but so far, I haven’t found it.
And look at that . . all seven skeins would have to be wound. I think I’ll wind them as I need them! I think I’ll stop overthinking this and start knitting. What do you think? 🙂

I like the last group a lot except for the dark blue on the end. Try a lighter more turquoise, possibility the second on the left in your first picture.

Judy, I really like your latest choice. I think the really dark yarn in the first one was too dark – at least for me. Now I’ve got to dive the stash too – I love that shawl.

I really love the last one….I went to the pictures of the shawl and the sample has a dark color on the end….I think if you don’t have a big contrast it will all blend in together…..

Start knitting, girl! 😉

i’m primarily a weaver but sometime making a decision on color is the hardest part of any project. i prefer the last photo for what it’s worth. easy slide from one color to the next.

I think that third from the right is perfect to transition from the blue and green to the pinks- Go for it.

I was going to comment that I think you are over-thinking it, and then I got to your last sentence…it’s time to just dive in…

Yep, just start. The first one is a lovely combination, the last one is lovely, and so’s the one in the middle. -=)

You can always start with the ones you KNOW you like and are going to use while still searching for the hidden skein! At least there would be progress!

I so far behind on my projects I wasn’t even tempted! I like your last set the bet but yes. Stop over thinking and start knitting!!!!!
Rebecca in SoCal says
Have you started yet?
It is a lot of fun playing with the colors, but that won’t giterdun. I love that last picture; the colors really do blend (as I always tried to do on “Blooming Nine-Patch” quilts), except for the very pretty blue on the right. How about the 2nd or 3rd yarn in the first picture there? (Advantage…pre-wound!)
