Well, I can agree that we all have the cutest grandchildren/models ever!
When I was in Missouri either last time or time before last, Nicole and I went to a local yarn shop and we each got a skein of the Missouri Sky yarn by Sweet Georgia Yarns (Tough Love Sock). The lady who owned the yarn shop, which has since closed, designed and wrote the pattern for the shawl, which is called Sunset Sky, and she gave us each a copy.
Nicole has made hers . . I have no idea where my yarn or my pattern is located. I will find the yarn. I went ahead and bought the pattern on Ravelry so I could have the pdf for Knit Companion. It’s a pretty cool pattern and the yarn is beautiful and we did see so many beautiful sunsets when we lived in MO.
The above photo was taken outside our house in Missouri in 2008. I miss that house. I miss those sunsets, though there are some pretty ones here too. I miss having Chad at home. Time marches on . . everything changes. Everything changes and I must go with the flow. Even a skein of yarn and a shawl pattern can bring on the nostalgia.
If things hadn’t changed . . if we hadn’t all moved forward, I wouldn’t have my sweet Addie. I won’t say what I’m thinking . . or maybe I will. I want to be closer! I want to see her more! OK . . pick up the pieces of my heart and get on with my sewing today! 🙁
