Yesterday, in preparation for getting the deer tops quilted, I put on my all time favorite panto.
It’s Square Spiral by Keryn Emmerson. Through the years, I’ve probably used this panto more than any others combined.
Things feel right in my sewing room now. I may never take this panto off the table! 🙂

And because of you, it’s one of my all time favorites–quick and easy–gives the quilts just the right amount of poof!

Yep, just the perfect panto for almost every quilt in my opinion.

It seems like your posts are getting shorter and shorter, and not so many throughout the day. You are free to do whatever you want on your blog! But since the new blog style went up, it seems you have a lot less time (or inclination?) to blog. *Sigh* I really like your blog!

I’m not sure why you’re saying that. There were three posts yesterday and four on Sunday. There have been at least three posts just about every day for the past week.
This is a time when there’s little going on as far as “outside forces”. Nothing is blooming, nothing to harvest, nothing to plant . . just not a lot going on. I blog about what’s happening in my life and when there’s not much happening, I can’t just make up stuff to write about.

I just thought that you were just quilting and knitting. It’s hard to be writing up a post with pictures when you are busy with these important things! 😉
I haven’t done much gardening the last few years, but I’m getting excited with the seed catalogs that are coming in the mail.

After first seeing this panto on your blog I bought it. It is also my favorite. It looks good on almost everything I do. I love it. Thank you for the inspiration.

I think that’s why I love it so much. It’s good for masculine quilts, but also good on frilly quilts. It’s easy to get the rhythm when quilting . . not crazy loops and points and, for me . . it just works! Glad you like it too.

Yay!

Funny. I finished a quilt using that panto yesterday. And noticed how frayed and used it is. Doesn’t mean I’ll get a new one! Pantos are like old recipe cards – a little stain and some dirt and some accidental pen marks mean this is a really used and loved panto. In fact, you were probably the one who introduced me to it several a number of years ago.

Judy, I’m right there with you on the panto. I gravitate toward using it as often as I can. Sometimes the other pantos in the stack start hollering at me to “use them”, so sometimes I have to give in to them just to keep the peace. lol

I don’t have a long-arm quilting machine. I’m curious. How does the panto work? Do you look at it and move your needle the same way, or do you program it into your machine?

Every time you mention Keryn’s pattern it gives us a buzz. Funny how some designs just become trusted favourites, we have a few that we use over and over again too.
