This is the test knit for Laura Aylor that I finished recently. The pattern is called January Thaw and will be available soon. I made this for a friend but I’m going to make one for myself. I’m waiting to see what the Loopy Academy projects will be and see if I can use it for one of those projects. If not, maybe I’ll do it for Camp Loopy since the last one traditionally requires 800 yards.
It’s big. It’s warm. It was so easy to make and it’s beautiful. What else could I ask for?
The Loopy Ewe has a ton of Cascade 220 (not the Superwash version .. they have that too but I used the regular wool) and it’s $9/skein and this project can be made with 4 skeins.
I’ll let you know when the pattern is available.

LOVE it!! And it looks really warm!! You’re a very good friend to give that away–I’d have to think long and hard! HA

It’s beautiful! I started knitting “Under The Oak” today and am so excited. I’ll post photos on Friday. Thanks for your guidance with the cable. It’s pretty easy!

I used Cascade 220 Superwash for a hat for my grand-niece last year, and was quite disappointed in it. It got very pilled when I washed it after finishing it, before sending it to her. So it’s just as well you used the regular wool.
