By the end of today we may have all the stitching done around the deer blocks.
We’re simply straight stitching around the edges. I tried a small zig zag and a blanket stitch on scrap blocks but the straight stitching looks fine and is much quicker.
My friend is making her quilt for a Texas hunter so she’s going to use brown sashing. Since mine is for Chad and there’s green in MO, I’m using green for sashing.
This fabric reminds me of snow and there’s always snow in MO (that rhymes!) at some point during hunting season so snow fabric it is!

You mentioned that you use tissue paper behind the deer. No heat and bond?

Good grief! I’ve gone thru all the quiltathon and then some posts and cannot find the name of the deer pattern. Can you reveal one more time, please? I’d appreciate it!

Live in Texas near the coast, mostly green here all year. Except now. Had two days of 22 degree weather. Now mostly yellow-brown.?
