What a crazy morning! Rita needed to go to the vet (nail trim, glands expressed and a puffy eye) and she’s been needing to go but finding a time when the vet is in and I can go hasn’t been easy. Today was the day.
I started a pot of stew before I left, hurried home and was trying to get the stew finished. First, I had to take another shower and change my clothes because I was covered in dog hair, but before I cleaned me up, Rita had to have a bath.
Some of the things for finishing the stew were in the shop fridge so I ran over there . . rush, rush, rush.
As I’m coming back to the house, hands full . . I almost stepped on this!
Thank you, Cat, for showing me what a good girl you’ve been but really . . I trust that you’re doing your job and I don’t need for you to deposit your trophies right in my walking path!

it is so funny, they seem to all do this alot. I haven’t had a cat yet who doesn’t display this habit. Hope you got your stew finished and the vet visit went well. Merry Christmas, from Iowa

Isn’t she a lovely giving you presents. I find it especially sweet when cats you have taken in as strays do this. It feels even more special when they show their affection in their own ways.

My daughter believes that cats bring food to their owners because the see people as weak and helpless kittens that cannot hunt for themselves.

at least it wasn’t in your shoe – that’s happened here…to the hubby, so it was HILARIOUS!
