This morning when my eyes popped open, my first thought was . . I want to go sew. That’s a great feeling!
Today was knitting day so I didn’t get a lot of sewing but before I left to go to the knitting group, I ran to the sewing room and got one tree block made.
First Tree Block
I’m going to make the tree borders first, then the pinwheel border, then the snail’s trail order and then the log cabin blocks . . kinda backwards but that’s the way I’m going to do it.

I like your plan for the order of making. The borders are my least favorite part, so it makes sense to make them first!

I think that we are all so happy that you are back in the “quilt world”, that none of us care about the order—frontwards, backwards–just do it !!!! 🙂

Tree looks great. Can’t wait for the pattern. It has been a joy following you. Feel like I know you and we should have a cup of tea. Distance is always a downer. Merry Christmas. You’ll have the border done before Christmas if you put the knitting needles away.
