The air fryer is really helping or hurting our weight loss plan . . depending on how you look at it. I’m thinking that on those occasions when we want a little treat, it’s better to have something homemade than to buy a bag of store bought cookies, right? If I decided to make a pie and made a whole pie, you know what would happen . . yes, we would eat the whole thing.
We had just enough pie to feel like we had a nice dessert but not enough to feel like . . I can’t believe I ate the whole thing! And, since we split half of it, we have the other half for tomorrow.
It isn’t going to win a beauty contest but it tastes delicious!
I usually pour the syrup through the lattice holes but the holes were to small and I kinda made a mess but enough of it got through.
For this recipe, I made a whole pie crust recipe (for a single crust). Knowing that the mini pie pans (these are the ones I use) hold about 1/4 as much as a full size pie, and that a full crust recipe should fill 4 little pans, I weighed my chilled crust (328 grams), divided that by four, and used 82 grams of crust for the little pan.
When scaling down a recipe, remember there are 16 tablespoons in a cup, 8 tablespoons in a half cup, 4 tablespoons in 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons in 1/8 cup.

Oh, Judy, that looks so yummy that I’m pretty sure I can smell it clear up here in Indiana!

What a cute little pie! Yeah, figuring out you can use the air fryer for desserts is a mixed…blessing.
p.s. There’s no link in “these are the pans I use”

I was moving some pans I have that would fit into air fryer to a different cabinet so they are handy. I totally forgot until seeing your little pies that I have mini deep dish pie pans stuck somewhere. I definitely must find them!

That pie looks great, just the right size for ME. lol The link you provided took me right there easily. I may have to get these pans for the regular oven for now.
