While I’m updating important info, let me tell you about Cat. She was out waiting for me this morning so she’s back to her normal routine. I did notice a slight limp but if Vince hadn’t told me she wasn’t putting any weight on her leg, I probably would not have noticed so whatever happened, she must be better. She’s discovered that there’s warm air coming out the dryer vent so I’ve been trying to have a load of laundry ready to wash and stick in the dryer by daylight. She has no interest in going into her heated cat house so I think we’re going to order a heated pet pad and put in the box where she does sleep.
OK .. the ads. I have tried every way I could figure out to stop the ads so I wrote to the ad people. The ads that are between paragraphs and have what looks like an orange sideways “S” in front of them – I cannot control how few or how many appear on my page. The ad lady told me that they have an abundance of ads in December so chances are we’ll never see as many as we see in December. I told her I’ve had enough complaints that I want them gone so I’ve discontinued that ad.
There are other ads that appear as a highlighted (green text maybe) word and if you hover over the word, an ad opens. I can limit that to 3 per page so I’ve done that.
I hope this solves the excessive ads. Just please be aware that for the most part, I have no control over what shows up or how often on those type ads so that’s why I asked them to stop running the ads that show up between paragraphs and limit the others.
Please let me know if you notice a difference or if you’re continuing to have problems with excessive ads. While I want the revenue to pay for the blog expenses, please know I am not getting rich off blog ads and I do have to have at least some of them to pay the expenses.
Thank you for your patience and for being kind with your concerns and complaints.

I have not complained but I greatly appreciate what you did. MANY quilt blogs have this same problem and I have pared down my reading of them because all that jumping of ads bothers me greatly. I have promised myself not to buy anything advertised because I don’t like how many and especially how they jump and dance constantly. Thanks so much for your efforts.

Sometimes you wonder about these husbands. Lol I also have not said anything about the ads except to whine to my husband. I have reduced the number of blogs I read and how often I go the the ones I do read. Like yours, I go about once a week and read back. I guess in my old age little things bother me more. I’m so afraid I’m going to turn into one of those “mean old ladies” that fusses about everything so I try to stay quiet.

I wasn’t currently having a problem with ads, but I appreciate your efforts. There was a time I could barely read on the phone because of the ads over every picture, but that resolved quickly.
The funny thing is that, for me, there is a bar under your second paragraph that’s just like what you’re describing. It is very unobtrusive…no picture.

I still see the ads with the red infinity symbol in front BUT there are far fewer ads on the page overall, so what you did was helpful.

Your ads don’t bother me at all. Just a blue line of type between paragraphs or a highlighted word every once in a while. The ones that bother me are the video ads that pop up when you are trying to read something or the ones that drop on the screen like a swinging banner whose nail just let loose. Your blog is worth reading, ads or no ads. Thank you for the “entertainment.”

I’m not getting the pop up ads on my cell. I don’t use a pc because I no longer can see it. Thank you, Judy, getting rid of those pop up ads make a huge difference.
I’m glad Cat is feeling. Could she have been stung or bitten by a snake?
