I had a package of pre-seasoned skirt steak that was on sale at Aldi and there’s a recipe in the air fryer book for cooking skirt steak in there. I was apprehensive but we have leftover chicken in the fridge so I figured this would be a good time to try the skirt steak. If it was horrible, I could heat up the chicken.
I took the steak out of the fridge half an hour before I started cooking it, as directed and other than not adding additional seasonings, I cooked it according to the recipe and it turned out great. I had been to Aldi earlier and saw that they still had the skirt steak on sale but didn’t want to get more before trying what we already had.
After lunch, Vince said “Do you think they have more of this steak at Aldi?” I said . . yes, I saw some this morning but didn’t want to get it til we had tried it. He wanted to know if I wanted to go back to town . . no! So he left early to go back to work so he could go to Aldi and get more.
He came home from work thinking we need a second air fryer. He’s pretty impressed with it. I told him if he gets a second air fryer, we’re adding on to the house to make a bigger kitchen, and another bathroom and a pantry . . and whatever else I can think of that we need. He decided he wouldn’t buy another fryer because that was going to cost him lots of money! Good thinking, Vince!
I really love it but I don’t want a second one!

I must need to eat in your kitchen. My MIL bought one of these this summer, and I wasn’t overly impressed.

I wish I had remembered to take a picture of the steak. It was really good. We’ve loved everything I’ve fixed so far.

I was telling someone the other day about your rave reviews for the air fryer. Do your ears itch all the time? LOL
