The good news is I made it through Thanskgiving without gaining. I didn’t lose much but I didn’t gain! I did eat one roll, a healthy serving of Cranberry Cherry Salad, AND a slice of pecan pie! I love pies and if we had been eating at home, I was not going to make a pie but since we were eating with friends, and there was pumpkin and pecan pie, I could not pass up the pecan pie.

Week 3: Lost 1.8 pounds (15.6 pounds to date)
Week 4: Lost 1.6 pounds (17.2 pounds to date)
Week 5: Gained 1.2 pounds (16 pound lost to date)
Week 6: Lost 3 pounds (19 pounds lost to date)
Week 7: Lost .4 pounds (19.4 pounds lost to date)
Considering that Vince was home all week and he is such a snacker and he tempts me to snack, and we went out and got burgers twice, and had a Thanksgiving feast, I’m quite pleased with the results.
Here’s my weekly chart for the past 6 weeks. Not bad but I have to get back on track and work hard. I have at least 20 pounds more to lose and I’d be real happy to lose 30 more pounds. I knew I would hit a few roadblocks with slow loss but getting through Thanksgiving and Vince being home for a week without gaining is huge for me.
On to Week 8 . .

Wow! You did great! Pecan pie sounds sooo good. We didn’t have pie this year. We pretended the cranberry sauce was dessert. ugh.
I’m craving a fruit salad. I may make one this week if I get to town to buy the makings.
Tina in NJ says
Congrats, Judy! You’re doing really well! I weighed in this morning at what I did a week ago. I’m calling that a victory. On to the next holiday! (My birthday is in two weeks!)

I can’t imagine you started out 50 pounds overweight. Keep up the great work! I’ll have to reread to see if you mentioned this already…how’s Vince doing on his loss?
Sue in Desert Hills (Phoenix), AZ (formerly in Scottsdale, AZ) says
Judy, you are doing fantastic. I think I might have found the pounds you have been losing! Keep up the good work and don’t fret over the small weight loss – we all have plateaus. Over 19 lbs. in 7 weeks is wonderful.

Well I not only fell off the wagon I think I might have broke it the last few days. I’m not going to beat myself up for it. I’ve lost 63 pounds this year . I’ve got one piece of pie left and then it’s back on the wagon tommorow. You and Vince are doing great. I find it I’m knitting I’m not snacking.

Sometimes we just have to do what we have to do. Congratulations on losing 63 pounds. I know that is already making a huge difference in your health.

I think, especially considering the holiday, that almost 20 pounds in less than two months is phenomenal! Congratulations! I just wanted to come check on how you were progressing.
