My first project is finished! My first Gift-a-Long project is done.
The pattern is Passport Mitts and I found it to be an incredibly fun pattern to knit. Of course, I love cables. The pattern was easy to follow and well written. I started these Tuesday night about 10 p.m., and haven’t had a whole lot of time to spend knitting but was able to finish them about 4 this afternoon.
The Gift-a-Long on Ravelry is really getting cranked up. Select patterns from 335 designers, including some crochet patterns, are offered. You can knit one thing, you can try to knit 8 things (or more), or anything in between. Plus . . you get to see lots of projects. That’s my downfall. I want to make almost everything I see!
The yarn I used for my Passport Mitts is leftover from the Under the Oak Shawl.
There’s one skein left (145 yards) so I might try to make a hat with that skein and then I’d have a hat, mitts and the shawl that all match!
On to the next GAL project — socks or a hat. I have both yarns sitting here with me trying to decide what to start.

Aren’t you the fashionista!! They look lovely and a matching hat would just “top” it off!!
Happy Thanksgiving.

What a great looking set! I’ve got the colorwork finished on my hat so I may just get that one done tonight yet.

Your mitts came out wonderful. The combination is lovely. What pattern did you select for the hat?
