Do you think our house could be haunted?
So far, we’ve had the issues with the dryer and the ice maker. I was so sure the problems with the dryer were caused by the weeds around the outside vent (which sits almost right on the ground) so I killed all the weeds around the area and thought the issue was solved but a couple of Saturdays ago, I put some clothes in the dryer. I was waiting for them to get done and the dryer just kept running and then I thought . . it’s not stopping again! Sure enough . . it wasn’t stopping. The heating part stops but the dryer just keeps running. The only way to stop it is to leave the door open. I went outside and checked to be sure the weeds hadn’t grown back and nope, nothing was obstructing the vent. It was the weekend after we had a lot of rain so maybe it has something to do with humidity. Vince had ordered the part (because the dryer told him which part wasn’t working!) but every time . . just before he gets tired of my complaining, the dryer starts working again.
The ice maker . . he ordered a new one and by the time it got here, the old one was working again. This morning the ice in the bucket is kinda all stuck together like it almost melted a bit so I’m bet it’s fixing to stop working again.
But . . get this! The top drawer on my dishwasher isn’t stopping any more. You pull the tray/basket thing out and it will just pull right out. Try that with a drawer full of glasses/Mason jars! No . . don’t try that!
Vince looked at it a couple of weeks ago and the piece that is supposed to keep the tray from pulling out was broken so he ordered the parts to fix it. They came yesterday so last night he went to fix the dishwasher and yep, the basket doesn’t come all the way out any more! I was in the shower and he came in and said “You aren’t going to believe this!” Nope, I don’t believe it. He said he couldn’t even remember what piece was broken. Crazy, huh?
