It doesn’t take much cold to send me back to the house for a jacket. I’ve mentioned this before but when we moved here five years ago, we laughed at the people all bundled up when it was 50°. I suppose it’s either that we’re five years old or we’ve gotten so accustomed to the heat, but 50° now seem quite cold.
It was windy and sunny and just beautiful when I was out walking.
It wasn’t long til the sun disappeared and the temps dropped about 10°. I’m guessing that before 9 a.m., we had probably gotten near our high for the day.
This is the weather/time of year I love! I can put on enough clothes that I’m comfortable outside working. It gets dark early so I don’t feel like I should be outside til 9 p.m., until dark doing the never ending summertime chores. There are no veggies to pick and can. The chickens go in the coop early. Vince and I have several hours of quality time in the evenings.
I love Fall and Winter in Texas!

Yep you’ve become a real Texan now. This time of year is the best but last spring was great too. We really didn’t have to bad of a summer since we had all that rain and all.Sad we didn’t get much fall color this year but hey can’t have everything. I remember when I first started reading your stuff and it was winter and snow piled sky high in the back your.Looked colder than a well diggers behind to me. Enjoy these days again for it will be summer again before you know it..
