Yesterday Vince and I made a run to Aldi and there’s a Burke’s store next door. They sometimes have cute things or things we need that we didn’t even know we need!
Vince and I were in different parts of the store and I took them over and showed them to him.
Me: Aren’t these cute for Addie?
Vince: Hmmm
Me: Which ones do you like best for her?
Vince: How much are they?
Me: The pink ones are $20 and the bright ones are $15.
Vince: The bright ones!
Me: Good . . I’ll get both!
I sent Nicole a picture of them and she asked if she could show the to Addie or if I wanted to surprise her so I told her she could show them to her. Addie said “Can we leave now and go see Granny?” Sounds like a plan to me!
Then I told them that our Cotton Patch opens Monday. Chad is on vacation and I figured a chicken fried steak from Cotton Patch might be worth the 10 hour drive except . . it’s deer season in MO so it would take more than a chicken fried steak to get him out of the deer stand.
I will mail Addie’s boots to her. I think the pink ones are actually slippers but knowing Addie, she will wear them to school at least once. And, I don’t blame her!

Hey! If a kid wants to wear their slippers somewhere, no biggy. I just have a hard time seeing adults wearing their slippers to the grocery store, the restaurant, etc. Especially when they LOOK like house slippers! ugh
Dottie says
Sounds like Addie will LOVE those boots!

I work at a University and I see students here wearing slippers frequently, so Addie is in good company!
