The apple pie kombucha I made last week was ready this morning so I stuck a bottle in the fridge and Vince and I split it at lunch. It was our first time to try this particular concoction and we both agreed it’s our favorite yet.
To each bottle, I added:
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. each nutmeg and cinnamon
- 3 – 5 thin strips of Granny Smith apple
- A sliver of fresh ginger
This was so good! I’m glad I made 5 bottles of this flavor and as soon as the next batch is finished with it’s first ferment, I’m making more of the apple pie.

Did it fizz well? I’ve got two bottles that are the same fizz-wise except one has a small piece of a cinnamon stick in it. The non-cinnamon one is SO fizzy and the one with the cinnamon stick piece had barely anything.
