Vince took off a couple of days and got some things done around here. I kept expecting him to say he wanted to go to Abilene or Killeen to go shopping and he never mentioned it, which made me pretty happy!
He got the garden tilled so I’m just waiting for the grasshoppers to leave so I can plant carrots, beets and lettuce.
Painting!
We had a chicken coop that’s really been needing painting. Thursday or Friday he scrubbed it down with TSP and bleach then Sunday and Monday he painted. He first used a brush to get in those little grooves. Then he went back and rolled it. I offered to help but I guess he’s seen me paint before and he declined my offers so I was the water girl.

It looks so nice all painted! I wonder of the chickens noticed how nice their new home looks.

So the TSP/bleach doesn’t make the chickens faint?!! HAHA I’d faint if I had to smell that but guess it needed doing. You are two busy, busy people!! Just got back from serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald house–one tired puppy here!

I so look forward to your blog emails every time they come in! I’m enjoying seeing the outside of your home as well as the chicken’s home. I’d like to see your place from various angles if you would be so kind and if it’s not too invasive the inside, I have these pictures in my mind of all the areas you talk about and wonder if my imagination matches even remotely lol. I love the fact that you cook from scratch literally, from grinding your own grain to making your own butter, tea (or what it’s called….I suffer from CRS lol), I believe you could give our ancestors a run for their money on making things from scratch. Again I love your stories of your everyday life it’s almost like reading a good book but this book don’t end it keeps going and always has a laugh and a lesson in life. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you and Vic and our wonderful family.
