This morning I woke up wanting to make bread. I wanted to make cinnamon rolls and we needed a loaf of bread for the weekend and I had seen a recipe for Challah that I wanted to try so the bread making began bright and early.
I was working against the clock to get a chicken smoked for lunch, pinto beans made for lunch and the bread all made before lunch so I did a terrible job of taking pictures.
After they were iced, I had to try one.
I never did take a picture of the loaf of bread but it’s plain, white bread.
I forgot to take a picture of the Challah after it rose and was baked and we ate part of it for lunch so it’s pretty ugly now but it was delicious and easy to make.
The new diet starts Sunday so we’re getting in our last minute indulgences before we buckle down and try to lose some pounds. I’ve given cinnamon rolls to two friends today so they’ll be gone for sure by Sunday and probably the same with the other breads as well.

If I swing by this weekend, will you save a couple of cinnamon rolls for me? LOL It’d just be about 6 hours roundtrip!! HA They look SOO good!! Gosh Judy, you are just a cookin’ fiend!!
