Here are a couple of things I feel worthy of sharing.
First, my favorite flour is back in stock at Walmart. It’s Wheat Montana Natural White and I LOVE this flour! The Nevada, MO store always has this flour and that’s the only Walmart store where I ever find it and I’m not there very often . . in fact . . almost NEVER. The store near Chad just got it. I could never figure out why they didn’t have it since Nevada had it and I got no help from someone who should have had some inside info! Nicole told me yesterday that she saw it at their store so I checked online to see if it might be back in stock there and yes!
It’s less than $4 for 5 pounds and if you order $50 (other stuff too – doesn’t have to be all flour), you get free shipping at walmart.com . . if you live in the continental US.
It’s hit or miss trying to get this flour from Walmart. Apparently I’m not the only Wheat Montana fan.
The second thing I wanted to share is that it looks like the Mother Earth News Fair in Belton, Texas is going to be February 18 & 19, 2017. I have been watching the Mother Earth News site for dates and couldn’t find anything but it did pop up on the Bell County Expo site’s web site. We went last year and LOVED it and a few of you mentioned that you had wished you knew so . . check it out and watch for the dates and agenda to be announced by Mother Earth News.

Have you ever been to the Amish (or maybe Mennonite) store in Grandview, TX, on I-35 just north of the town? We stop there occasionally and they had the Wheat Montana last time I was there. My husband and I just got back from a trip through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah. We happened to pass the Wheat Montana plant (I guess it is called.) I immediately told my husband to pull over and so glad we did. There is a retail store as well and it was busy busy and they had a huge supply of different flours, mixes, etc along with a large bread section of breads they make AND a counter with fresh pastries, etc and the line was back to the door! I think you could also get sandwiches made. We bought some flours, a few mixes and of course, a few pastries to enjoy on our trip. Their cinnamon rolls were amazing (and at least 6-8 inches across) and we also got a cranberry orange muffin, and a cream cheese pastry. It was all delicious. They had another store in Kalispell, Montana but much smaller and more of a lunch place tho they did have some of their flours available. (They also had their wheat berries available.)

We always stop at Wheat Montana on our trips from Virginia to Helena to visit daughter’s family. We have ordered online too–it’s the only brand of flour that we use. Check out wheatmontana.com
