I love opening an email and this is the first line:
Hi Judy, this is all your fault.
Hey . . much better than some emails I’ve received through the years! 🙂
Anyway, she went on to say that it was my fault she was now knitting socks, loving it and she sent me a picture of her first ever socks, which look amazing . . stripes lined up and all!
It’s so nice to hear from readers who have tried something I recommended and liked it .. whether it’s a product, knitting, cooking, gardening. I enjoy sharing with you the things that I enjoy doing and while I know not everyone is going to like everything I like, but I always get so excited to read about something new that I can do and likewise, I love sharing anything I’m doing that someone else may like.
Thank you always for reading the blog and for letting me know you’ve tried something I recommended . . whether you liked it or not!

Yep, Judy. It is all your fault that I knit socks and I love it! I also graduated to an electric pressure cooker because of you. Also, my pressure canner is the one you recommended and you reinvigorated my desire to can which I do primarily in the colder months. All have been wonderful adventures. I’ve teased you before about enjoying the chickens through your sharing of the successes and the challenges. I decided that one was more than I could take on after reading about your adventures It was probably the snakes that put the decision over the top. The other thing you got me to purchase through your sharing was the pizza stone oven that you use outside. I purchased it but haven’t ever gotten that one out of the box and I may have missed it but haven’t seen any posts about it in a very long time. Are you still using yours? No matter what, just know that you have broadened my horizons on varied topics and I appreciate you so freely sharing your experiences both the good and the bad.

Well, it’s not all your fault, but you were definitely a factor in my getting an Instant Pot. I’ve been trying something new about once a week in it. Today was chicken stock from the leftover rotisserie chicken. It smells heavenly! Wednesday I’m making potato soup.

Because of your posts, I requested and received an Instant Pot for Christmas last year. Everything that has comes out of it has been a hit (ok, except for the too soft pasta; but they still ate seconds). Recently, because of my coworker’s encouragement, 3-4 more people in the office have purchased one. I point them to your recipe posts as a great starting point.

Thanks to your posts, I’ve purchased the Cuisinart yogurt maker, Cuisinart pressure cooker, Instant Pot 7 (just because it makes yogurt!), to name a few, and I’m quite happy with them. I really like your homemade hand cream . So I’d say you’re a good influence on us!

Sounds like some of the emails Ive sent you! Ive got a sock yarn stash that will keep me in socks until my life is over, I have enough yarn and patterns selected for 6 sweaters (Even though I have yet to finish my first one! Had to dart from the beginning again because I wasn’t doing the edge stitch correctly, and I figured out I was going to run short on yarn, and just found more last week!) I’m making home made yogurt (delicious!), and baking bread. Every time I try something new, my husband says, “Let me guess- Judy?” Lol!

Yes, it is all your fault (LOL)! Not only am I now knitting socks, I use a pressure cooker and have made many of your recipes. I also went looking for Slap Ya Momma and we love it. Yes, all your fault and thank you very much for being so generous and sharing so much with us. We need a LIKE/LOVE button on your blog!

Well–I don’t knit socks–Michael made me quit saying I cussed to much!! :))))–not really! I did knit some “spa cloths” and do like knitting. I use many of your recipes and have been waffling on the Instant Pot.

Lets see – because of you, I tried and tried to knit socks – didn’t work for me, but I was able to gift a very good friend a bunch of knitting stuff so that was a win/win. I always used my stove top pressure cooker for canning and cooking huge meals when we had lots of guests – now I also have 2 Instant Pots – one for rice pudding and homemade yogurt (another thanks to you) and the other for family dinners at least once a week. I’ve always been a quilter – but I think it was you, way back when, that introduced me to EQ6, which I still love and use. Oh, and thanks to your recent Mediterranean Food binge, my husband was VERY happy that I made the roasted eggplant caprese salad, he thought I was genius, and it was also because of you that my family has meals in the freezer – just the other day I used the last of a eggplant Parmesan that I had frozen, thanks to your post a couple years ago (no the dish wasn’t a couple years old, but your original post was) I’ve learned a lot from you over the years – and enjoy every single minute – even when things don’t turn out so well (like socks)

Judy, I’m a little late to the “Thank Your Party”, but I wholeheartedly agree with all the comments that you have introduced me in so many ways that have enriched my life. I am enjoying these things thanks to you: knitting socks, the InstaPot, kombucha, freezing steel cut oats in muffin tins for future breakfasts, salads in a jar, making yogart, and many other things. I never miss reading your blog, even though sometimes it is a week late. lol
