Who’s ever heard of Menard, Texas? I had not or if I had, I hadn’t noticed it.
Last night we were watching a movie and it was supposedly filmed in Menard, Texas. Vince said “Do you know where Menard is located?” Nope . . never heard of it.
Weather
Vince was already in bed, before the thunder got here last night and I was looking at the radar. See Brownwood? Look south/southwest and you’ll see Brady. We go there fairly often. Look west and just a bit south of Brady . . there’s Menard.
It was about 1:30 a.m. when I saw that and I wanted to wake Vince up and show him the map but I knew he would not be amused. Somehow, it’s ok for Rita to come scratching on the door at 2:30 a.m. and wake him up but he wouldn’t have taken kindly to me waking him up to show him a map. Oh well . . everyone has their favorites! 🙂

LOL! It’s relatively close to y’all (by Texas standards). I knew where it was because my parents had friends there and in Mason. We used to visit them but they’ve all moved in to heavenly pastures …

Gun show there in two weeks, going with hubby because of the antique stores there.

My mom lived in Menard as a little girl for a year or so. That would have been back in the 30’s.
