Back when I sewed clothes for myself, I can remember that some years I wanted to make every pattern out there and some years, nothing appealed to me. It seems to be the same with knitting. Last year, a friend and I talked about how none of the new patterns interested us much. This year, every time I look at the patterns on Ravelry, I want to make almost every new pattern I see. I love the shawls, I love the sweaters, I love the socks, I love the wraps!
Top left to bottom right:
- Briocheauluscious – I cannot wait to get started on this one. Heck, I want to start them all! I wound some yarn last night but I think I might change one or two of them out. I’m waiting for the rain to stop so I can run over to the sewing room and see if I can come up with another color to substitute.
- Partly Sunny – I’ve already cast on for this one but haven’t made much progress.
- Scripps – I can see this one getting lots of wear. It isn’t something that could only be worn during winter. I think I need 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn so I won’t have a lot of choices but I know of several that might work.
- Jameson – This is one I did order yarn to make and it was on my stash report this morning.
- Scarf Under the Sea – Denise told me about this one and I love it. I only have a few skeins of solid-ish lace weight yarn so I’ll have to come up with yarn that goes with the colors I have but since it can be a contrast, it shouldn’t be hard to find something.
- Changing Light – I know I have several shades of blue and gray so I can come up with something to make this.
- Millicent – I have yarn for this and I already showed a couple of possibilities.
- Stained Glass Cowl – This is the KAL that starts here and on Denise’s blog on September 1. I still have to decide which yarn I’m using.
That should keep me busy til time to plant the garden next spring! 🙂

I keep going back and looking at Scripps – like the look of that one. And too funny because when I saw Jameson I thought to myself “Judy will love that one.” 🙂 Also had recently added Changing Light to my library. I totally agree with you – lots of great patterns coming out lately and we need to make them all!
