Last night I went out to secure the chicken coop for the night and the sunset was breathtaking, which happens pretty often around here.
In just a matter of a minute or two, as I was walking out to get a better picture, the colors became so brilliant and beautiful.
I stood there gazing at the beauty and almost got stranded out in the dark before I had my chores done!
Before it got dark, I turned to see the moon.
Briefly, I felt kinda bad for the moon. I know the moon serves its own purpose but we ooh and ahh over the sunrises and sunsets and we rarely get all excited about the moon. Poor old guy!

Au contrere! (sp?) I oohh and ahh over the moon QUITE frequently. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, sometimes just a sliver, sometimes a big ole honking full moon hanging low looking like you could reach out and touch it. So haunting sometimes.

Altho sunsets are breathtaking, Mr. Moon can’t be beat in the Romance department!

The moon is my thing, always has been….”I see the moon, the moon sees me, God sees the moon and God sees me”. And I always tell our grandchildren, ‘you see the very same moon at your house that I see at mine’! I have no idea where my fascination comes from, but doing all I can to share the wonder of it with the grands. I love the orange huge full moon of October and the moon at football games. Your sunsets are beautiful, Judy; I enjoy many from our location also.
