Stained Glass Cowl KAL Reminder

Do you remember some of us are doing the Stained Glass Cowl as a Knit Along beginning September 1?

When we first started talking about doing this KAL, September seemed like a long time away but here it is .. just a bit over two weeks away. If you’re going to knit along with us, you need to be thinking about your yarn choices.

Here are a few possibilities for my project.

#1: The solid yarn is actually very dark purple . . so dark I think it’s always going to look black at first glance.

#2: I also have this brown but I think the darker purple looks better. I love the brown but I’m not sure brown is my color.

#3: Not sure if the dark parts of the colored yarn would blend too  much with this . . another very dark purple.

#4: I love this colored yarn but the solid may be too “variegated” for this project.

#5 : I like this dusty green but I think it blends with portions of the colored yarn. Any time there’s blending, that part of the design is going to be lost in the background.

#6: There it is with a navy . . not bad.

#7: The solid is more purple than it appears in the picture and there’s no blending.

#8: Not sure if I like the yarn better with the purple or the dark gray/almost black solid.

#7 or #8 are probably my favorites. Any thoughts? I’ll keep digging through the stash before I decide.
