One thing I don’t need is another knitting pattern but this one uses one skein of several colors of yarn so chances are, I can come up with something from the stash to make this work. The pattern is Briocheauluscious and it by Andrea Mowry and I’m sharing her photos with her permission.
I’ve never done brioche and since there’s not a ton of it here, maybe it’s a good one to try first. Andrea says that once you start it, it’s addicting. We all know I don’t need another addiction! 🙂
I love shawls. Here, we rarely need a full coat but a shawl is so portable and great for keeping the shoulders and upper arms warm. Most yarns stick to themselves enough that the shawls don’t flop around if I want to wear one loosely draped, or there are always beautiful shawl pins to keep them in place.
This one is going to be a really fun one.
The designer also has a blog and . . we all love blogs, right? 🙂 Check out Drea Renee Knits . . specifically this post. I got this pattern too. This would be perfect for running out to the chicken coop. Having shorter sleeves is perfect . . the long sleeves is what gets dirty first and more worn but if I can find some rustic/durable yarn, I can see this getting LOTS of wear in our Texas winters . . which are usually very mild.
