I could have sworn that I posted about making these beans but if I did, I can’t find it and if you’re sitting there thinking “She already said that” . . remember that I’m getting old! 🙂
We love baked beans but I do not like most storebought canned baked beans. In fact, I’m not sure there are any that I like. Usually I make big batches of them and can them but I ran out and haven’t made more. That’s a project for much cooler weather. The other day I was really wanting some good baked beans so I turned to my go to website, Pressure Cooking Today and found this recipe.
I made them straight by the recipe . . didn’t change a thing except I added a few chopped jalapeno peppers, and they were amazing. So, grab those pressure cookers and try that recipe if you’re a baked bean lover.
We had some leftover smoked brisket so I chopped some of that and added it to the leftover beans and that made them even better than they were when I first made them. It’s a great recipe and so easy!

There’s nothing like a ‘good’ batch of homemade baked beans!!! My IP still sets on the counter awaiting it’s “maiden voyage”!! This week has been crazy but “Mongolian Beef” awaits for a Saturday meal. Have subscribed to Pressure Cooking Today and am so impressed with the hints/instruction format. I know that once I start using the IP it will be permanently/constantly in use!!!!

Used our brand new IP last night for the first time. We made half the Honey Sesame Chicken. It was served over some rice we had from earlier in the week. Also, to finish it off, we used one of the steamer bags of stir-fry veggies that is prepared in the microwave. Absolutely marvelous! Got confused a few times but that’s what happens if you don’t read the operating instructions. I wasn’t sure it was working as it was so quiet. Wonderful one pot meal. Beans and ribs on the menu soon. Didn’t make rice pudding yet either. Think it’ll wait. Hubby not a fan.

Thx for the recipe Judy! I’m always very appreciative of tried-and-recommended recipes. I usually make baked beans in the slow cooker using canned drained pork and beans. We like ’em, but this recipe is so much quicker…and cheaper since dried beans are cheaper than canned beans. Sounds delish!

I bought a pressure cooker quite awhile back and have yet to even get it out of the box. I’ve always made baked beans in the oven from a recipe I got YEARS ago from a friend. Tried a new recipe this past 4th of July and didn’t like it nearly as well as tried and true. Maybe I’ll get the pressure cooker out and try a couple of these recipes you’ve posted lately.

I’ve made this recipe several times and I agree! Best beans ever, just following the recipe. Eat your heart out, Bush’s! (Van Camp’s are never even in the running.)
