The third Tour-de-Sock pattern was released this morning at 6:30. As soon as Vince walks out the door, the knitting will begin. This is the yarn I chose:
It’s the Miss Babs Hot Shot and the color is BFF.
It’s all loaded up in the handy little yarn keeper, needles are ready . . go, Vince! Go to work! 🙂
Normally Vince comes home for lunch every day and we have our main meal at lunch and then snack for dinner but most of this week, he’s not coming home for lunch so I have to fix his lunch (done!) and cook dinner (almost done!). Last night I seasoned ribs and when I need a break from knitting, I’ll throw them on the smoker. I’m going to roast some cauliflower and open a jar of my canned pinto beans. Dinner will be easy.
I didn’t know the cucumbers had grown outside the fence and I found a giant one so I removed the big seedy portion, grated the rest and made cucumber spread, which I love and Vince doesn’t love, so I can have that with crackers for my lunches this week.
The big, gross seeds .. they will produce next year’s crop! It will be nice to have them done and ready. I’m always afraid I’m going to wait too long and miss out on saving something to get seeds but at least I can check off cucumber seeds for next year from my list!
And then I made pimento & cheese.
And then I put a pork tenderloin on to cure. That won’t be ready for smoking til at least the weekend but at least it’s done.
Tomorrow, I’m going to fix that crockpot recipe with chicken breasts, cream cheese, cream of something soup and Ranch dressing mix but I’m going to do it in the solar oven. It’s kind of a “stir it up and forget it” type meal.
So, for at least the next two days I should be able to knit without having to worry about getting hungry!
OK . . I think he’s about to walk out the door and the knitting can begin!

You have me salivating, Judy. Where can I find those recipes?
Thank you.

Beautiful yarn! , always have a plan. I would love the recipes also. your pimento chees looks different than mine. The cucumber spread looks very good, but I don’t think my husband will like it either.

I can’t find the recipes under your “recipe” section. The spreads and the chicken recipe sound so good! Love your yarn too!
