Maybe we should have submitted these to the Guinness World Record people. My friends are out working on cleaning up and burning some piles and they found these giant grubs and brought them over to show me.
They are SO huge!
They watch this show, Naked and Afraid, and we watch this show, Alone, and my friend said “We can give these to the chickens or you and Vince can pretend you’re on Alone and you can eat them!” I declined both (didn’t give them to the chickens and we definitely aren’t eating them).
Have you ever seen such huge grubs? Do you hope you never again see such huge grubs? 🙂

We had Japanese beetle grubs, about that size. I would put them in the bird feeder, the birds love them.

You live in Texas ….what did you expect?

Grubs just totally gross me out!! If I dig one up, I have to chop it up with the shovel as fast as I can. They are just disgusting! Why didn’t the chickens get that gourmet meal? Probably would’ve loved em! Never heard of Alone but I watch Naked and Afraid. Have yet to figure out why ANYONE would do that!!! Not me!

I wouldn’t have given them to the chickens either, I would be afraid they might attack the chickens!!

I wonder what those huge grubs grow up to be? Grubs are always kind of gross even when they’re just the smaller regular sized ones.

look like the start of a japanese monster movie. 😉

Totally gross- I wouldn’t have fed them to the chickens either. They look like they were exposed to some kind of “radioactive rays” like the Incredible Hulk.

I HAD to Goole them, lol. Would appear to be the grub for the Rhinocerous beetle. The grubs are highly favorable to compost piles/bins. But, ewwww, saw instructions on how to cook and eat, and there ain’t NO WAY that’s gonna happen unless all my food is gone and there’s been none to find for 40 days!
