My Tour-de-Sock is about to cause me to pull my hair out!
Yesterday I got the heel flap done and last night I got the heel turned. When I read through the gusset instructions . . WHAT? None of it made sense to me. Over 60 people have finished the pattern so I was thinking .. how did they figure this out and I can’t. I read and re-read and looked at finished socks and read questions a few others had asked. OK . . maybe I have it. Maybe not!
I got the first sock done and finished one whole Chart B. When I started on the second sock, I couldn’t get it. I guessed and by then, it was after 1 a.m. so I went to bed, with the tablet, and was reading more and then I thought I knew what I had done wrong.
This morning I got up, thought I could release the stitches just in the area around the gusset decrease but ended up with a royal mess. I ripped back to my lifelife, which is where the gusset decreases started.
I re-did it (all 28 rows!) and while I know it isn’t exactly right, I think it’s right enough that I’ll get credit for having done it.
Now all I have left to do are 1-1/2 repeats of Chart B on each sock, the toe shaping and grafting. If I can stay up late tonight, there’s a chance I can get these finished today. A slim chance . . but a chance!

Wow great job! Don’t overdue it though! Get some sleep then finish in morning if you have to!
